The admission process at JNV Godda takes place at Class VI and IX (Lateral Entry) levels through an open test conducted at the district level under the guidance of the District Education Officer, Godda. The Central Board Of Secondary Education (CBSE), New Delhi, organizes and publishes the results of this test.

Fees and Facilities
JNV Godda is renowned for providing world-class facilities at a nominal fee structure. While the Pre-Nursery to Class VIII fees are not applicable, Class IX and X students pay Rs. 600 per month. However, wards of Government employees pay a subsidized fee of Rs. 1500 per month, with exemptions for certain categories.
