Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya (JNV) Sonipat, located in the Butana district of Haryana, is an esteemed educational institution established in 1987 as part of the National Policy of Education 1986. JNV Sonipat is a co-educational residential school that provides free education to enrolled students, including boarding, lodging, textbooks, and uniforms. Admissions to JNV Sonipat take place annually during the months of July and August. The academic session at the school runs from February to December. During the session, students benefit from the dedicated efforts of a qualified and experienced teaching staff. The school employs one Principal, one Vice-Principal, 10 Post Graduate Teachers (PGTs), 10 Trained Graduate Teachers (TGTs), and other miscellaneous teachers specializing in subjects like Physical Education, Music, and Art.

Library and Extracurricular Activities:

JNV Sonipat houses a well-stocked library spread across 880 square feet, which provides students access to a wide range of books, periodicals, magazines, and reference materials. The library holds approximately 9,460 books, including encyclopedias. The school also emphasizes extracurricular activities and offers facilities for indoor games such as Taekwondo and Judo. Students have the opportunity to explore their interests and talents through various co-curricular and cultural activities.

Fee Structure and Transport:

For the 9th to 12th grade students under the General category (excluding BPL), the monthly fee is set at INR 600. However, for wards of government employees falling under the General category (excluding BPL), the monthly fee is INR 1,500. JNV Sonipat provides transport facilities with its own vehicle and does not charge any additional transport fees.
